Crafting

I have been busy the last few days crafting. It's been a long couple of weeks after losing my Dad and now with Mother's Day approaching :( I now miss both of my parents more then anyone can imagine.

Mom these creations are done with you in mind, love you always. Now you have Dad with you so I know you will have a great Mother's Day!

Sugarbush 2011

For the second year we have made maple syrup. Kevin's Grandpa Meier started tradition, then it went to John Meier and now has been handed down to Kevin. Last year was our first and Kevin is hooked. This year we made three batches and now Mike and Gertie Meier are making a batch at their place. Here is a video from our first batch of 2011.

Halloween Ornament

Well last night read about using Martha Stewart Glow in the dark glitter. First thought was, note to self, buy some on next trip to the big city! Well after looking for something else came across some in my stash. So the attached picture is what I created. Of course saw the idea on the Cricut community. These ladies are amazing. You will have to take my word that is really does glow. Might try to take a picture!

Here is another idea that came from a SU consultant. Easy to do and beautiful when finished.

Candy Cake

After seeing this candy cake online, I knew I had to try to recreate this project. It was easy and fun to make. We have decided to give it to Lauren's teacher. She likes chocolate and Diet Coke. So the inside will hold two Diet Cokes.
